JLK volunteers work with many non-profit organizations by providing volunteers to help with hands-on, one day projects that are both diverse and rewarding. Whether it is providing a Christmas party for special needs children, planting an inner-city garden, helping with an after-school program or planning a special party for at-risk teenagers, the DIAD committee is committed to making a difference in Knoxville!
We are still looking to add a few new projects, so if you know of an agency that would benefit from JLK’s volunteer assistance for a day-long community project, please encourage that agency to complete the Done in a Day Community Agency Proposal form. As the year progresses, we will keep you informed of upcoming projects, and we welcome all members' participation.
Local non-profit agencies that have benefited from a Done In A Day project include the Florence Crittenton Agency, the Juvenile Diabetes Association, Race for the Cure and ChildHelp.
