Thank you for your interest in the Junior League of Knoxville!

As reflected in our mission statement, we are an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We are grateful that you are considering membership in our League. We are certain that it can provide you with many rewarding volunteer opportunities.

There are about 300 active members in the Junior League of Knoxville, and each spring we actively recruit new “Provisional” members. Most of our Provisional members are sponsored and “proposed” by a current member of the League. (* If a woman considering membership does not know a Junior League member who could sponsor her, a person can be appointed to do so.) All Provisional members are required to complete a year-long Provisional course which acquaints potential members with the workings of the League, its membership requirements, and some of its community service projects. After successfully completing the Provisional course, a woman is invited to become an Active member. The application will be available on February 1, 2010 and deadline is March 15.

Membership in The Junior League is open to women of all races, religions, and national origins who share in our commitment to volunteerism and to improving our community.

The application deadline for the 2010/2011 League year was March 15, 2010.  We will not be accepting applications for membership again until February 2011.
