On Saturday, September 29th, Done in a Day (DIAD) committee member, Emily Tirgrath and assistant chair, Caroline Schaffler, organized a work day at STAR. STAR, Shangri-La Therapeutic Academy of Riding, serves children and adults who have physical, mental or neurological disabilities. They offer therapeutic riding designed to meet the needs of each participant. The Done in a Day Committee spent the day painting and wallpapering STAR’s new building. If you’d like to learn more about the STAR program, please visit their website at www.rideatstar.org. The DIAD committee had a chance to make a difference in a day while being inspired by both the participants and the teachers at STAR.
