Tara Kastura has worked as a Biologist, Curator and Director of Animal Programs at both Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga and Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies and currently is enjoying her role as stay-at-home mom. An Ohio native, Tara is a graduate of Miami University with a B.A. & B.S. in Zoology. She moved to Tennessee after college and joined the Junior League of Knoxville a few years later to become more involved in the community and meet other women. She and her husband, Mike, have one daughter, Sophie who is three years old, and an English golden retriever named Macey. Tara has been a part of community, fundraising and membership placements within the league. For the last few years she has served in different roles within the membership council and has enjoyed focusing on helping members get the most out of their experience with Junior League. She is proud to be a part of an organization that her mother was once part of and develops strong and successful women while making a difference in the community.
